Same-Sex Marriage One ot the issues surrounding same-sex marriage is the desire tor equal treatment and protection of homosexuals. They say that homosexuals are also humans who deserve to be treated with respect and given protection by the society Just like anybody else. Though equality is much desired and that discrimination has no place in the modern society, the government shouldn’t legalize same-sex marriage because of the legal definition of marriage, marriage is a religious rite, and same- sex marriage is against God’s will.
Marriage is known to be the legal union ofa man and a woman. God created arriage to be between male and female as stated in the book of Genesis “Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh. ” We can see that from the very beginning marriage was for male and female. It is a legal union for male and female. Having homosexuals engaging in marriage deteriorated the meaning of marriage. Furthermore, if same-sex marriage was to be legalizing the ultimate purpose of creating male and female will come to cease.
God created male and female and said to them be fertile, in other words for them to procreate and produce off springs. Individuals of the same-sex aren’t capable of producing off springs. Hence, having same-sex union is contrary to the nature of having male and female which is for them to unite as one and produce off springs. Furthermore, within the context of vital literacy, marriage is a religious rite. Legalizing same-sex marriage constitutes a type of blasphemy and an unjustified imposition of the state into what is necessarily a religious matter.
Because of religion’s traditional role in sanctifying marriages and presiding over wedding ceremonies this is understandable. In marriage the couple receives God’s blessings hich bind to together forever. As stated in the book of Mark, “What therefore God hath Joined together, let not man put asunder,” we can see that God blessed marriage. A marriage between members of the same sex is a self-contradiction, and if their unions are legalized, then marriage itself across the country will be harmed. Because the institution of marriage is in such trouble already, we can’t afford further damage.
God doesn’t approve of having unions between individuals of the same-sex. Hence, marriage is not Just an institution, but also a symbol representing our ulture’s ideals about sex, sexuality, and human relationships. Lastly, same-sex marriage is an abomination in the eyes of God. From the creation of the world God created male and female, Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. God at no point will approve of same-sex marriage, in His eyes it will always be an abomination as stated in the book of Leviticus, mfou shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. Man kind have take God out of their lives and stratify their pleasures but will later suffer the consequences of same-sex marriage as stated in the book of Romans “For this reason God gave them over to egrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. Likewise with the city of Sodom and Gomorrah, God destroyed them because of their unnatural acts. Therefore, same-sex marriage is an abomination to God which He will not accept and have placed heavy consequences for all who participate n the unnatural act. In conclusion, legalizing same-sex marriage will degrade the definition of marriage, marriage will no longer be a religious rite and it will go against god’s purpose of creating male and female.
Same-sex marriage brings conflict in the community and it can’t produce off springs. Hence, I personally don’t support the legalization of same-sex marriage because it goes Contrary to God’s ultimate purpose of creating male and female. What’s your stand? Will you allow God’s law to be broken just because man kind wants to please their lustful nature?
