West Virginia offers new online MBA program

West Virginia University, which offers online MBA program, is the home of the Mountaineers and is located in Morgantown. This university has around 27 500 students and is only 200 miles west of the capital. From these 27 500 students, around 6 500 are professional students and graduates.

West Virginia University offers this Executive MBA only online and the program is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Students who want to take this online Executive MBA program, can finish it in only 2 years and have all the 48 credits and hours. There are 4 semesters throughout the whole program, 2 of them are in spring and 2 in fall. Students need to have 10 to 13 completed credit hours in one semester. In some cases, the program can be extended and be different from the normal scheduling that West Virginia University has. Throughout the whole program, the student must have a GPA of 3.0. If the GPA falls under 2.75, the student will be put on academic probation. If in some given time, the GPA does not go back to at least 2.75, the student will face suspension from the program. Suspension can also happen if the student makes more than on C throughout the program. Right now, besides the general management EMBA, there are no other concentrations. The program requires a 4-day residency.

The requirements for applying for this online business graduate program and being admitted are the following: having at least 2 years of work experience after graduating, a personal statement, application fee of $60, 2 letters of recommendation, the graduate school application, transcripts from other universities and colleges that have been attended, GMAT and Resume. The GMAT does not have a minimum score required, but still, the university prefers the students to have is finished in the top 50%. Students with 5 or more years of experience in the business field may ask for their GMAT test results to be put aside and not be looked at. For international students, there are some other requirements, too.

The West Virginia University online MBA program costs $663 per credit for in-state, US residents. Since the program has 48 credits, the total will be around $31 824. This is the case for students that come from West Virginia. Out-of-state students have to contact the university and see the possibilities there are for them. Some groups of students may have some special program reductions and lower tuitions.

The West Virginia University Online site is open to all current and future students as helpful resource. There is also a prep test for GMAT available. Various loan programs from private and federal sources are part of West Virginia University and can be offered to students, but these loans have to be repaid.
